It’s been so long. I hope everyone is having an amazing vacation. And everyone is staying hydrated this summers.
It’s been a year I’ve started my Youtube channel(YAY), I am not very regular there, but I hope you guys watch my videos and subscribe.
Coming to today’s post, I’ve recently gone for a getaway for my birthday weekend to Mumbai, India, the city which is close to my heart, which I did not want to vlog, so I’m writing down my experience and link all the hotels I’ve stayed as I have received many dm’s on Instagram asking for them.
We boarded the flight on Friday morning at Kempagowda airport, Blr. And the flight got delayed due to the rains in Mumbai. It was raining heavily when we landed in Mumbai. We went to the mall near the airport just to look around.
We shopped, ate and later went to Andheri East for our Airbnb. https://www.airbnb.co.in/rooms/30053307?source_impression_id=p3_1563513072_T8Y77Tns7MnnWLwM
Calvin was our host and the place was way too beautiful. Fell in love with the décor. I loved the architectural design and how creatively the place was done. The place had everything one needs. You wake up to the greens around you. For greenery lovers, the place looks even more beautiful. The vines, the view of the goldmohur, the modern bohemian feel of the place, everything is just perfect. It’s a perfect getaway spot, so cosy and a peaceful corner away from the hassles of the city. This little paradise is a must-try place if you want something near the airport.
We took showers and went to some clubbing on Friday night.
We woke up a little early in the morning and went to one of the iconic places in Mumbai, Worli Sealink, Bandra, and clicked pictures. Thanks to Naveen and Akash for clicking amazing shots. Later, went back to our Airbnb, packed everything and went to Colaba, South Mumbai. We had our lunch at Pa-Pa-Ya.
We then checked in to one of the Bombay’s first luxurious hotel, Abode Bombay. https://abodeboutiquehotels.com.
This place was a tranquil haven of design and style with a lot of thoughtful touches. If you are looking for a vintage and bohemian and luxurious stay with everything is taken care of, from amenities to city guide to small tiny detailed things, this is the place to be. The room is very thoughtfully done. The hosts, Nobert and Nilesh were super kinds, humble and super interactive. The ambience is rare you’d find in Mumbai. Location is great and I loved it being right next to Gateway of India, Colaba Causeway. The common area with many high ceilings, library, display of local art was a lovely space. Loved the safe locker inside the room. The best part of the hotel is its breakfast, which I will discuss later. I think this is one of the best hotels if you were looking for a perfect getaway in a vintage luxurious way.
All in all both of the places are beautifully designed, providing for the photo opportunities at every corner of the place which enriched our stay even more.
Later on, we got freshen up and went to Starbaee for some drinks and Colaba Causeway for some shopping, and roamed around the streets. Then, we went to one of my favourite places, Marine Drive and ended our day. We had food from one of the famous roadside restaurants Bademiya, right in front of our hotel. The food was beyond amazing.
We woke up early in the morning to get some early morning shots near Gateway of India, roamed around the city, later had one of the best breakfasts I had in a long time. The buffet breakfast was so yummy. It had a great range of variety between continental and Indian style dishes and was perfect. 100/100! We rested after a happy meal lol. We went to one of the biggest malls, Palladium, spoiled ourselves, got birthday gifts. And headed to the airport. We spent some time having massages and eating at the airport. Landed back in Blr in the evening.
This getaway was amazing. I already miss this place and all the time we had back in there. I hope you liked the post and my little story.
